great. glad to hear you got it working. The default location has been fixed in version 2 (download the beta at http://klok.mcgraphix.com/klok/betaProgram.htm)
Scott MckeownMemberOn the preferences screen you can specify the location of the data file starting in versioin 1.5
Scott MckeownMemberVersion 2 (download the beta at http://klok.mcgraphix.com/klok/betaProgram.htm) will have another skin available when released. We expect to be adding additional themes over time. Perhaps even allowing other designers to create themes too.
Scott MckeownMemberThe logic for remembering the current viewable window had some issues in that it tried to show the current time rather than the window you last used. In version 2 (download the beta at http://klok.mcgraphix.com/klok/betaProgram.htm) that has been resolved.
Scott MckeownMemberThere was a bug in version 1.x that caused the time entries in weeks that spanned two months. The issue has been fixed in version 2.0. You can download the beta at http://klok.mcgraphix.com/klok/betaProgram.htm.
The tentative release date for 2.0 is March 1, 2010
Scott MckeownMemberI am happy to say that this issue has been resolved in the 2.0 beta. The issue was only happening on weeks where the month changed.
Make a donation today and get the beta version of 2.0 at http://klok.mcgraphix.com/klok/betaProgram.htm
Version 2 is currently targeted at being released on March 1, 2010
Scott MckeownMemberThe snapping issues have been resolved in version 2.
Note that some the issues you describe with the numbers not adding up are due to the fact that the timesheets show values in decimals rather than h:mm. so for example, in the case where your entry was from 2:16 to 2:26 the output you are seeing is the decimal equivalent of .16 hours (not 16 minutes). Be cause of the fact that half of the users preferred decimal and the other preferred h:mm, version 2 includes a preference when you can choose the format you would like the durations to be in on the timesheets.
Scott MckeownMemberVersion 2 corrects the problem with navigating between months/weeks on the timesheet
Scott MckeownMemberKlok doesn’t do anything special when creating the data for the columns. It is just putting a string in each cell that happens to represent dates or numbers. My guess is it is Excel trying to be helpful and converting the ones it recognizes automatically.
I will look into it though. What version of Excel are you seeing the problem in?
Scott MckeownMemberIn 1.5 and 2 you can specify a network location by mapping a drive or using the UNC path for it. You will need to make sure that only one version of Klok is running at a time that is connected to that data file.
We are working on several possible mechanisms to make this better.
Scott MckeownMemberIs there any chance that you are minimizing it accidentally? Windows 7 changed the way the system tray is displayed. You have to tell Windows where you want the icon to show up in the system tray by clicking the little “up arrow” to the left of the system tray. If Klok is in that list, then you can just click customize to find it in the list. Make sure that the “Show icon and Notifications” is selected.
Scott MckeownMemberWhat version of Klok are you using? In 1.5 and 2 you can drag an drop projects in the tree to move them
Scott MckeownMemberWe do have a bug tracking system that you can submit to at
http://bugs.mcgraphix.com/Thanks
ScottScott MckeownMemberBoth of those are available in the 1.5 version.
Please try it out.Scott MckeownMemberWhat version are you using? What OS?
The drag and drop sort is working in the 1.5 version on Windows XP. - AuthorPosts
