I want to specify that my klok.db datafile be stored in a location other than the default. Using the Preferences, I have tried several times to change to my desired location.
Once I do, Klok creates a .db file there, but all of my existing info immediately disappears. I have tried several locations, and none work. I am able to point back to the default location (where the older .db file still resides), and all of my data is back.
It is important to my workflow that I am able to tell Klok where this all-important file resides.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Currently, when you change the data file location, Klok will look into the new folder but it does not copy the file there. You can copy your file from the default location to the new location manually. The default location is shown in the preferences screen (when you point to the default location) or you can find the locations for various operating systems at http://getklok.com/faqs.html
Thanks!!
