Archive behavior 1.5 vs 2.x

In 1.5, when I took a project and dragged it to the Archive, it removed it from my timeline. All the entries were gone and archived. Now with 2.0 if I drag the project to the Archive the project gets archived and disappears from the left-side project pane, but all of my time entries in the week view are still there.

I’d like it to behave more like 1.5. I create a new project for every month, and when looking at say March 2012, I don’t want to see all my entries from Jan and Feb in the week view. How do I accomplish this? And why would it be gone (archived) from the left-hand project pane and then still have all the time entries in the week view from those previous, archived projects anyway?
